Vinegar_Digital Chaos Collab Tut

Supplies needed:

Scrapkit of choice - I used my own portion of the Digital Chaos Store Collab, SBJ_DCGrandOpeningCollab.

If you use another scrap kit, you will need a paper, a frame, glitter, and accents.

Tube or Image of choice – I am using an awesome tube by Vinegar, www.vinegaria.com. You can currently purchase her work at PTE

Font of choice – I am using “Feel Script”, but you can use any font you like.

Mask of choice – I am using DBV Mask 136

Plugin – Optional - Eye Candy 3.1: Glow (Free to Use).

All links and supplies shared with permission.

This tutorial is written using PSP X2, but should be easy to do on other versions. It is written assuming you have a general working knowledge of PSP.

Let’s get started!

First, open a new canvas 600 x 600.

Optional – flood fill canvas white to better see what you’re doing. I usually do this, but then delete the white layer before saving the tag.

Open SBJ_Paper05, resize 75%, copy and paste it onto your canvas.

Apply DBV Mask 136, merge group.

Duplicate masked layer. Rotate 90 degrees left. Merge masked layers.

Open SBJ_Glitter_3, copy and paste onto your canvas, above the masked layer.

Add a small drop shadow to your glitter layer. I used 3, 3, 55, 3, black.

Open SBJ_GlitterFrame_3. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. Duplicate.

On the original frame layer, resize 80%. Adjust>Hue & Saturation>Colorize – change both settings to zero.

Your smaller frame should now be silver-y looking.

Duplicate your larger, still purple frame.

Open your tube. Copy and paste it onto the canvas. Resize as necessary.

Move it so that it’s between the two purple frame layers.

Add a drop shadow to your tube. I used 5, 5, 55, 8, black.

Activate your top purple frame. Erase the parts that cover your tubes head and any other parts you want “coming out” of the frame.

Activate your tube layer. Erase any parts that show past the bottom of the frame. (See my tag for example)

Activate your silver frame layer. Add a drop shadow. I used 0, 0, 75, 8, black.

Activate your purple frame layer (the one that’s intact, below your tube layer). Add a drop shadow. I used 0, 0, 100, 8, black.

Open SBJ_Leaves_3, resize 80%, copy and paste onto your canvas.

Mirror Leaves, then rotate 35 degrees to the right. Arrange to the left of your canvas, should be top layer.

Add a drop shadow to leaves, I used 5, 5, 55, 5, black.

Open SBJ_Flower_3, resize 65%, copy and paste onto your canvas.

Arrange it so that it covers the bottom stem of the leaves.

Add the same drop shadow that you used for the leaves.

Add your name in font of choice. Apply gradient glow (optional) and / or drop shadow.

Add your credits and license number (if applicable).

Save as .png and you’re done!
