Supplies needed:
Scrapkit of choice - I used my own PTU kit, Gothic Romance.
If you use another scrap kit, you will need 2 papers, a frame, and accents.
Tube or Image of choice – I am using an awesome tube by Ismael Rac, http://xeracx.net/. He sells his tube on his own site, http://xeracx.net/store/.
Font of choice – I am using “1 Snappy DNA”, but you can use any font you like.
Mask of choice – I am using DBV Mask 129. You can get all the great DBV masks on her blog.
Plugin – Mura’s Meister: Copies (Free to Use)
Optional - Eye Candy 3.1: Glow (Free to Use).
All links and supplies shared with permission.
This tutorial is written using PSP X2, but should be easy to do on other versions. It is written assuming you have a general working knowledge of PSP.
Let’s get started!
First, open a new canvas 600 x 600.
Optional – flood fill canvas white to better see what you’re doing. I usually do this, but then delete the white layer before saving the tag.
Open SBJ_Frame57. Copy and paste onto your canvas.
Duplicate frame layer.
Open your tube. Copy and paste it between your 2 frame layers. Save your progress.
Add a drop shadow to your tube. I used 5, 5, 55, 8, black, and 5, -5, 55, 8, black.
Erase the top half of the topmost frame layer, so it looks like your tube is coming out of the frame. (See my tag for reference)
Also erase any part of your tube that shows below the bottom of the frame. (I also erase any that showed “inside” the lips.)
Save.
Open SBJ_Paper96. Resize 70%. Copy and paste onto your canvas. It should be below your bottom frame layer.
Activate your bottom frame layer. Using your magic wand tool (feather set to 0), click OUTside your frame.
Selections>Modify>Expand by 3. On your paper layer, hit Delete. Selections>None. Save.
Open SBJ_Paper76. Resize 70%. Copy and paste onto your canvas. It should be below your bottom frame layer, but above your other paper layer.
Apply DBV Mask 129 (Source luminance, Fit to canvas, and Hide all mask should be selected.)
Right-click on your mask layer, choose Merge>Merge Group. Save.
Open SBJ_Accent02, resize 85%, copy and paste onto your canvas. It should be below your bottom frame layer, but above all paper layers.
Apply Mura’s Meister Copies, using these settings: (Click to enlarge)
Activate your bottom-most frame layer. Using your magic wand tool (feather set to 0), click OUTside your frame.
Selections>Modify>Expand by 3. Selections>Invert.
Activate your accent layer that we just applied Mura’s to, and click delete. Selections>None. Save.
Open SBJ_Heart17. Resize 60%, copy and paste onto your canvas.
Free rotate 15 degrees to the right. Sharpen. Arrange at top left of frame.
Add a drop shadow. I used 5, 5, 55, 8, black. Save.
Open SBJ_Rose2. Resize 60%, copy and paste onto your canvas.
Arrange at bottom right of frame.
Add a drop shadow. I used 5, 5, 55, 8, black. Save.
Open SBJ_Doodle4. Resize 65%. Copy and paste it onto your canvas. It should be your bottom most layer (other than your white background).
Add a drop shadow. I used 3, 3, 55, 3, black.
Free rotate 35 degrees to the left. Arrange at the top left corner of your canvas.
Duplicate. Image>Mirror. Image>Flip. Save.
Optional - Go back to your frame layer (the bottom one that hasn’t been erased any). Add a gradient glow – I used a glow radius of 5 in the color #6f0806.
Add your name in font of choice. Apply gradient glow (optional) and / or drop shadow.
Add your credits and license number (if applicable).
Save as .png and you’re done!
