Cano Digital Chaos Collab Tut

Supplies needed:

Scrapkit of choice - I used Created by Jill’s portion of the Digital Chaos Store Collab.

If you use another scrap kit, you will need a paper, a frame, a ribbon, and accents.

Tube or Image of choice – I am using an awesome tube by Jose Cano, canoart.net. You can currently purchase his work at PTE

Font of choice – I am using “Roselyn”, but you can use any font you like.

Mask of choice – I am using DBV Mask 138

Plugin – Optional - Eye Candy 3.1: Glow (Free to Use).

All links and supplies shared with permission.

This tutorial is written using PSP X2, but should be easy to do on other versions. It is written assuming you have a general working knowledge of PSP.

Let’s get started!

First, open a new canvas 600 x 600.

Optional – flood fill canvas white to better see what you’re doing. I usually do this, but then delete the white layer before saving the tag.

Open Paper03, copy and paste it onto your canvas.

Apply DBV Mask 138, merge group.

Save your progress.

Open Glitter1, resize 50%, copy and paste onto your canvas, above the masked layer.

Arrange at top right of canvas. Duplicate.

On the duplicated layer – Image>Mirror, Image>Flip. Save.

Open Frame1, resize 80%, copy and paste onto your canvas.

Duplicate frame layer.

Open your tube. Copy and paste it in between your frame layers.

Add a drop shadow to your tube. I used 5, 5, 55, 8, black.

On your top frame layer, erase the top part of your frame, so it looks like the tube is coming out of it. (See my tag for reference.)

Erase the parts of your tube that show at the bottom of the frame.

Add a drop shadow to your bottom frame layer (the one you didn’t erase any of). I used 0, 0, 55, 8, black. Save.

Open Flower2. Resize 60%. Copy and paste onto your canvas, at the bottom left of your frame. It should be your top layer.

Open Leaves2. Resize 60%. Copy and paste onto your canvas, below the flower layer.

Free rotate the leaves 25 degrees to the right. Image>Flip.

Move the leaves so that they are at the bottom of your frame. (See my tag for reference.)

Add a drop shadow to the flower and the leaves. I used 3, 3, 40, 5, black. Save.

Open Ribbon2. Resize 80%. Copy and paste onto your canvas.

Add the same drop shadow you used for the flower and leaves.

Duplicate. Move one of the ribbons below your bottom frame layer. Arrange it to the top left of your canvas.

On the other ribbon layer, move it above your leaves layer, but below your flower layer.

Image>Flip, Image>Mirror. Arrange it towards the bottom middle of your canvas. Save.

Resize the whole tag to 500 x 500, or whatever size you prefer.

Add your name in font of choice. Apply gradient glow (optional) and / or drop shadow.

Add your credits and license number (if applicable).

Save as .png and you’re done!
